Under Wis. Stat. §19.35, an ordinary request generally cannot be refused merely because the requester declines to identify themselves or state a purpose. More identifying data and photo identification may allow greater subject-of-record access.

Mequon publishes weekly anonymized police-activity bulletins, but those are city activity snapshots rather than a named county arrest log. The Sheriff also offers OZSO Tips and a text-tip route. Those tools accept tips; they do not verify a booking, warrant, inmate record, or records request. Use the custody and custodian chain instead.
Ozaukee Booking Charges Can Change
Police make an arrest based on the facts and authority available at that stage. Jail staff record charges supplied at intake. The District Attorney then decides what, if anything, to file in Circuit Court. A filed count can later be amended, dismissed, resolved by plea, or tried.
